I can't answer the quetoisn, but I love the photo and the juxtaposition of water with building (typical of Venice) and contemporary art with old surroundings (not so typical); both the art and the locale marked with a sense of transience.to Teri: the weather has been mild lately, usually sunny and in the 50s, with lows at night in the mid- to upper 30s--though it may feel colder because of all the water and moisture around & if there's wind. Hat, gloves, scarf are necessities, a hooded jacket to keep the rain off or perhaps a pocket umbrella, and, otherwise, clothes you can layer for days ranging from coldish to very cold because of the moisture & wind (eg, thermal shirt you can easily wear under another shirt, a warm sweater to go over them, and, in my case, a medium weight jacket--not a bulky down one because of packing. Though locals do wear down--&, in the case of the older ladies, fur). If you're a native Californian, as I am, it'll seem cold; if you've spent winter in the midwest, not so bad at all. Sunglasses aren't a bad idea either, just looked out the window & almost everyone in the part of Venice is wearing them today.
